All New Blog!

I have a new look to my blog and have moved over to Wordpress. The clean lines and friendly-to-use features for users attracted me over and convinced me to make it my new home for my blog. Please bookmark the site to keep updated on the new blog! :)

Of course, I can't leave a post without including an image, so I decided to put up a new self-portrait that my sister and filmmaker/photographer, Nina, took at Mammoth Lakes this past weekend.

Margaret & Dan

Margaret and Dan are experts when it comes to rocking it in front of the camera, especially on their wedding day. When I say expert I don't mean qualified for incredible imagery, but natural and inviting to capturing what already is (even during a blazing hot afternoon). For guests and family reading this all of the images will be available online shortly.

A couple of the wedding vendors that I worked with: Wedding coordinator- Alison Thompson, Videographer- Michael Delano with Video Services Un-Limited, Make-up Artist- Hayley Chavez.

I'm not a big shoe person for myself, but I love taking photos of them :)

On KNBC News- Spotlight

I like it when funny, unexpected surprises come up like getting a call from a producer from KNBC News asking if they could use my snow video from Mammoth for the 11 p.m. segment. What's great was that the producer stumbled upon my You Tube page, browsed for my contact info and got my phone number and e-mail from my photography website. I felt very special and silly. I hope this works out to be good advertising for me. Who wouldn't want a photographer who knows how to enjoy life?

Jennifer & Patrick- Sneak Peak

Mammoth Lakes is a town surrounded by mountains providing beautiful scenery for a wedding. Here are a couple of my favorite images to give you a glimpse into Jennifer & Patrick's big day. It was an adventurous weekend so I'll share more in a future post, along with more favorites from their wedding.

Boys Will Be Boys

There's this small window close to where I sat in the center's office. Kids often peered in when they passed by to see if someone would return their attention. One afternoon two young boys took interest in my work. I was in between my classes uploading photos so that the memory cards would be empty for the next student to use. These boys waited as they watched me move things back and forth on my desk. I knew what they wanted, so I took my camera nearby and spent a few minutes playing with them through my lens.

Guestbook Albums- Spotlight

I find it odd that I've never shared any of my album designs online...I design as much as I photograph! This weekend I'll be heading up to Mammoth Lakes to cover a destination wedding that I've been waiting all year to do. Spotlighted is the couple's guestbook album that features their favorite photos from their engagement session.

All of my wedding collections include an album just like this one where you can customize the cover of your album and choose the images that you want in it. It's a wonderful addition to your wedding day that'll give your guests something nice to sign in and a book that you'll enjoy looking through for many years.

Margaret & Dan- Sneak Peak

I can never help sharing sneak peaks, especially when the couples are so in love you can see it seeping off of the photos. Here are a few of my favorite images of Margaret and Dan's wedding. Many more favorites will be shared soon.

Celebrating My 26th Birthday

I've passed my quarter-of-a-century mark and am thankful that I'm able to see the things I should be thankful for. Thank you again for all the birthday greetings! Much love to you all :)

Michelle & Alex- Wedding

Michelle & Alex know how to throw a party, the sort-of-party where you want to bump "Tonight's gonna be a good night" by the Black Eyed Peas kind of party. The start of the day began in Westwood and on to the Skirball Cultural Center where the wedding day continued and ended. From the dress to the first dance to the closing hour everything was beautifully planned and went as smoothly as you'd want a wedding to go. It was a wonderful first event to photograph after my return from overseas. :)
